Should I give in??

I am having a maaajor french fry craving right now. Probably a TOM thing.. Driving me crazy! Normally I would have just budgeted into my calories but it started a little too late. Should I just make some and enjoy and work out extra tomorrow? I figure baking some at home is better than going and getting some at a fast food place like I normally would. But maybe that's just me trying to justify it. Thoughts/Opinions?

Yes you should. I actually posted a similar thread last year about pizza. I ate the pizza and I still met my goal:)0

I have learned that anytime I try to "control" my cravings, I endup binging seriously hard. Go to a restaurant and order a takeout of small order or something and have at it in the car/home. It doesn't sound like you're making this a habit so why not? Besides you can easily workout the calories you're over (walk/jog for 15-30 minutes?) or just try and budget it in for tomorrow (eat fewer calories tomorrow) or just eat them and forget about it
Good luck!0 -
Thanks guys, I think I will go for it!0

Agreed! Lately I've been making sure that I have a relaxed day for eating or will eat super healthy for most of the day and let myself have a small treat. Its keeping me from going overboard and eating a whole pizza or something. I think that unless your never planning on having fries for the rest of your life, you should learn how to eat them in moderation now.
And just so you know, I had a bad chip craving last night. Totally ate almost a whole bag of chips last night (but not the whole bag...so progress??). And then I had an awesome workout toady and ate really healthy. I feel good and unlike in the past, not guilty about eating all of those chips.0 -
id say id just do it, you can eat some french fries especially home made ones and be fine. plus it will satisfy your need today, which is better than denying yourself.
if you feel like it, yeh, lill more exercise tomorrow.

Better to satisfy your desire now. If you're anything like me, i would obsess about it until i got it... In the interim i would eat everything else under the sun to try to squelch the craving and consume more calories than if i just ate what i wanted... However, try to find other alternatives to FF you can turn to in the event these urges come again. I ave come up with substitutes that i now prefer over my old craving foods. Enjoy the FF! ????????????0

I agree with all the above posts about having a sensible portions of fries now rather than letting the craving build up
also, are you getting enough healthy fat? Sometimes when you're not your body will crave anything that contains fat. So my advice would be a) eat some french fries and b) consider adding more sources of healthy fat into your diet generally, e.g. nuts, avocado, full fat dairy, egg yolks, etc.0 -

My favorite thing is when I curb the cravings for french fries for like 3 days and then endup going to Rallys and ordering like 20 chicken wings, large shake, 1 cheeseburger and then a side of fries with cheese on it. And then go pick up a cheesecake and ... thats how I curb my cravings for french fries. Worth it!0 -
I wish someone would satisfy my desire.

Go for it, just get a small.0

Have a small one. Or just make your own with olive oil or something, so it's healthier (I suck at that though... they're always too mushy).0
