When you get sick, does it affect your metabolism?

I know my ticker says 8.8lbs. After I lost 70lbs, I plateaued for over a yr. After spring break, I got serious with my fitness and ate better. I put my self on a 12 week phase. I primarily do cross fit training & heavy lifting (5day a week). 5weeks in I was losing .50-1lb a week. I was comfortable with that pace, because I knew I was losing fat. I then got real sick and have done almost no workouts in two weeks while i recover. My diet has been fairly good. I made sure i stayed hydrated and ate at least 1800 caI a day. I lost 2lb each week. Just completed my 7th week with 10.8 lbs lost.
My question is, how does getting sick , like a severe cold, affect your metabolism?
AmI losing fat, muscle, water weight or a combination of all??
Am I losing because my metabolism is still in high gear even though I am taking time to recover?

I think your metabolism increases slightly when you have a cold. I always find I get hungrier and feel sorry for myself too, so it's a real willpower challenge!
