I currently have my macros at 40/30/30 C/F/P. I have a beach vacation in 5 weeks and plan on continuing my hybrid of Insanity(2-3 days) for cardio and weight training(3 days). I am pretty comfortable where I am, but I know that 5 weeks is plenty of time to make some minor changes and go from being comfortable in the bikini to rocking the bikini.
I am pleased with my results, but haven't been paying great attention to my macros which I need to make a priority. How are your macros set? What is your goal? Maintenance, fat loss, gain, etc. Any suggestions of changes to make or just keep doing what I am doing?

40 % carbs
40% protein
30% fat
but I typically eat at:
30% carbs
50% protein
20% fat0 -
I am trying to aim for between 100-120 grams of protein a day. Setting my protein to 25% has my goal at 113.
I set carbs to 45% and fat to 30%.
I did have it set to 40/30/30 but always needed extra protein at the end of the day and ended up adding in 1/2 scoop to scoop of protein powder depending on how much I needed at the end of the day. Also, I was usually not hungry so just had it with a little almond milk and had to force myself to drink it. I decided it might be more sustainable for me to just cut my protein back 5% every day and see how it goes for a while.
Also even with these settings, I usually go over a little on fat and protein. My diary for today is currently at 41% carbs, 26% protein, 33% fat but this might change. When I was planning on dinner, I had a lot of extra calories for the day and was pretty much at my protein and fat goals so added in an extra serving of french fries. I might swap that out for some vegetables when it gets to that time but it isn't often I have room for an extra serving of french fries so I am kind of looking forward to it.
My goal right now is to lose fat.0 -
These days, it's mostly based on what I like to eat. I like all kinds of meat, so that takes precedence. And I insist on having chocolate and peanut butter every day because I am a toddler and I want what I want. I'm also one of those weird people who really, really like protein shakes (I found a quality powder, and I'm sticking with it), so I make room for one of those 5 or 6 days a week, and I fill in the rest with vegetables and cheese and Greek yogurt and other deliciousness. Oddly, I just don't ever have cravings for pasta or bread or potatoes, so I don't tend to leave a lot of room for carbs if they aren't in the form of fruits, vegetables, chocolate, or peanut butter. That gets me close to 40/30/30 p/f/c, and I'm comfortable with that because my primary goal right now is fat loss.0

From the calorie breakdown (pie chart) screen on mobile device, what do the numbers mean that are after the / ?
For instance, if my pie chart screen said:
45%/55%
30%/30%
25%/15%
Are you able to set the second set of numbers to what your macro ratio goal is?0 -

Yes the second set of numbers are the goals that MFP set for you. If you click on goals and set it to custom, you can modify those to whatever you want
edit: you might need to do it from the actual website and not one of the mobile apps.0 -

im trying to gain. its hard for me to hit carbs, but i'm usually in that ballpark0 -
I aim for about 65% fat, 20% protein, and 15% carbs.
The goal is general health (to avoid diabetes, high chol and heart disease), though I might need to up carbs a bit because I've gotten as lean as I want to be (after losing about 10 lbs).0
