Hi guys,

I have been working out and eating MUCH better than I used too. I was almost always eating my cals set for me , and my exercise cals too. I had a feeling though, that either my food was not being calculated properly or my cals weren't.

Since I've been so good with being in my cal range, i decided to purchase an HRM/Cal calculator. I did the 30 day shred with it on today and it said i burnt 202 cals...where before going by the system it would be close to 300. I'll be going to the gym tonight for some elliptical so I cant wait to see if there is a huge difference there.

Anyone else have better luck losing weight with using an HRM? Also, it says i should aquire a new heart rate reading (after warm up/during/cool down etc) often during my workout....is this normal for most HRM? Thanks in advance!!

A good HRM will have a chest strap and read your HR throughout your whole workout. The ones you touch are a rough estimate of calories burned at best.
