New Runner

Last Fall when I started my weight loss journey I started with just doing the Eliptical. I alternated with walking on the treadmill and slowly began jogging over the next few months. I just ran my first mile w/o stopping in March and now I have been averaging 2.5 miles. My question is....now that I have found this new love for jogging this is all I want to do. I go to the gym just about every day and I don't have a desire to do anything else. Should I be switching it or is it ok for me to be jogging 6x a week? How often do you more experienced runners jog in a week?
