Something Quiet, Indoors, No Equipment

Hello, I'm a bit new to this site... and exercise in general... I'm a fairly new mother, so I don't really get out of the house much, and have to keep the baby occupied while I exercise. Typically I get my SO to watch him, but sometimes our schedules clash (fairly often, considering I also work 2 jobs)

My question is, what, if any, exercises might I be able to do at night, while the baby is sleeping, with no equipment on those days where I don't get exercise in?

Thanks ^_^

I don't know how long it's been since you gave birth, but at 4 months I started Insanity. It's intense, but I did it with the baby in the next room no problem.

Body weight resistance is super good training.
Especially if you do it slow.
Like for push ups try and take 4 seconds to lift up hold for 4 seconds and take 4 seconds coming down.
It works with all body weight exercises even squats. 4 secs coming down, holding at bottom for 4 secs, and then coming up slowly over 4 seconds.
Trust me you'll get a great work out that way.

Google ZWOW. Her workouts are intense, short, and a lot of them require no equipment.

You are Your Own Gym/Body By You is a good bodyweight program that you can do indoors with just occasional common household items as "equipment."

If you're fairly new to exercise I agree with the people who suggested the Walk Away The Pounds DVDs. They're a great starting point, and they take up minimal space.

all kinds of workout videos out there.

Just a small word of advice tho in regards to "something quiet". Dont tip-toe around when the baby is sleeping and get the baby used to complete quiet when he or she is sleeping. You are better off getting the baby used to sleeping when there is more noise then less. JMHO

Thank you everyone for the suggestions, and please keep them coming... I think tonight I'll do the yoga, since I can find stuff on youtube, and i'll look into some of the other stuff later ^_^ It's definitely helpful though, thank you all. I can already tell this is a great community of people.

Basically when he naps, my SO's grandma also naps (she lives with us) so it's not particularly him I'm worried about waking xD

If you have stairs - just walk up and down. But start slow - 15 minutes and you'll really feel it in the calves the next day!
