In the beginning log the minutes you walk and the minutes you run.

I use an c25k app on my phone which logs for me....I also run a "map my walk/run" app at the same time to more accurately determine calories burned to log into my MFP :)

I use the C25K app and wear my HRM so that I can accurately log the calories burned (or at least as accurately as I can).

I use my treadmill and use the calories burned on there.
  • Log the minutes I walk and then the minutes I run. Or, some people just add up the combined time and distance and figure out the average MPH, and then find a calorie calculator to figure the calories of that.

    My way is much easier.

This is what I do. I keep track of the pace I run at, since the calorie burn in the MFP "Exercise" tab is differerent for what speed you're running at (10 minute mile, etc.)

It's a guesstimate, I know, but hey... As long as it's close I'm not going to obsess over it.

I added a new activity - C2K - Week X - whatever week I was on and then work a Heart Rate Monitor and when the workout was over I added it all in MFP so I had an accurate count. Good luck. That program is amazing how it works!
