Hi all,
my name is Mira and I'm a thirty-something freelancer.
I gained a lot of weight (15 Kgs) a couple of years ago after a very stressful experience (tons of comfort food!).
I have managed to lose some of it just by switching to healthier foods (I am a lacto-vegetarian and try to avoid gluten and sugar as much as possible). I am not sure how much I've lost exactly as I stopped weighing myself (in my case, it triggers self-sabotage), but I dropped one dress size, so I guess at least 5 kgs.
I lead a very sedentary life - I work from home and spend up to 10 hours daily sitting at my desk (super tight work deadlines).
However, I finally joined a gym three months ago. I try to go at least twice a week for a 45 or 60.minute workout. So far, it has worked wonders: I am building muscle and my energy levels are way better.
Now I want to take my progress to the next level by consciously watching how much I eat and planning my workouts more carefully. Fingers crossed!
Cheers,
Mira
