Injuries or Strains - help

I must have overworked myself yesterday because today, I started working out and right away my left glute started hurting. Then later into my workout I felt a left side stomach muscle start to spasm. So, what's the best way to heal these? Just stretching? I do take a whey protein shake after my daily workout.

    I have had my glutes spasm at the beginning of a workout, I made sure to drink at full glass of water 15-30 min. before my workout and it has helped me. Just needed to hydrate my muscles before starting. Oh, maybe a warm-up would help too. Hope it is nothing serious, I hate hurting myself during workouts. :(
