Midway to my goal and I'm terrified

Starting weight: 410lbs
Current: 344 lbs
Goal: 290 lbs (and lower)

So I'm 4 lbs away from my midway goal of 330 lbs and I have to admit I'm terrified. Partly due to the fact that this mini goal seemed so far from reach and impossible in the beginning and that I'm afraid I'll stop losing.

My weight loss has slowed down in the past 15 lbs or so (a pound or two a week). Honestly I've never lost this much weight before. The fact I've lost over 60 lbs and changes are becoming a tad overwhelming. Any tips to keep your head in the game at this point through the plateaus and such? Thanks all!

I don't have any suggestions, sorry! You're doing a great job and do fear a few less pounds each weight in, the pounds may not be there, but I bet the inches are!!

Continue on the track that you're on, it is obviously working for you!

I don't have any suggestions other than keep up what your doing, and look where you came from....amazing!!!! Sometimes the scale won't move, but your body is changing.
  • I find when you set goals you need to reward yourself. You are doing great think of something you don't normally do for yourself perhaps a pedicure, or a new top? Pick something that is going to lift your spirits and inspire you to keep going.
YOU, are doing great you inspire me to stay on track!

Continuous postive self talk is something I found that kept my head in the game. I was sure I could not do this - but I had to retrain my own brain into knowing I could. It took me a lot of effort becuase after years of bullies and BS I found my own inner voice was worse...so I had to beat it down repeatedly until the voice was supportive and positive. it made a world of difference for me.

My suggestion is each day is a new day.
Say to yourself in the morning how can I get fitter and better.
Whatever you are doing now is working but you are actually stronger now and can do more..
Do a little bit more to not speed up the weight loss but to speed up your stamina and strength.
