Return of Hot Flashes during weight loss?

I had a complete hysterectomy over 8 years ago, took hormone replacement for 4 years and have been totally free of them for the last four. Is it a coincidence or is there some connection between weight loss and the return of hot flashes? Has anyone else experienced this? I can be freezing cold one minute and five alarm fire the next, I have also been cold and hot at the same time! Sleeping is a particular balancing act covered. not covered, half covered, toss and turn, etc. I do sleep quite well actually but do have interuptions when my temperature issues arise. I see my Dr this week but am curious if others have had this happen to them.

No, because I still get them anyway, but I did have a rise in hormones so they symptoms went away.
Same estrogen output + smaller body mass = greater effect on body.
There is also an association between estrogen levels and fat loss.0
