Can someone help me, TDEE question....

I am using http://www.fitnessfrog.com/calculators/tdee-calculator.html to find my TDEE and then their BMR calculator to find that out too. But I'm not sure what to choose for daily activity level. I'm assuming Moderate - I am working through Chalean Extreme (this is my last week of the burn circuit).

So far my weight loss has been in an up/down phase since starting Chalean, which I read on here is normal when starting something like this an initial weight gain is normal, but is it normal to continue throughout it? But I'm wondering if some of it might be me not eating enough? I've been aiming for 1450-1500 calories per day. The two rest days from Chalean I try to walk as much as possible.

On that website, based on a moderate activity level, my TDEE becomes 2298. BMR shows as 1482. I also use/wear a fitbit one every day to track walking and such and so that adjusts my calorie level on here based on how active I am in that area as well (aim for at least 7000 steps on Chalean days, and as close to 10,000 steps on my rest days from her).

Just would love suggestions as to what you all think would be a good calorie aim for right now? If I do my TDEE -500 calories that comes to 1798 calories per day? And that would be not eating any exercise calories back, correct? My food intake aim would be that number no matter how active/inactive I am that day?

I'm 5'4" and as of this morning 157 pounds. According to my scale my body fat is 36.6% (which has come down a while percentage since starting Chalean! Yay!). During Chalean I have been going between 155-158 pounds. That is the frustrating part of this for me, though I am seeing some decreases in my measurements so far, which I know is just as good as losing weight, but would still love to see that number go down. Oh, and not sure if it matters, I am using resistance bands instead of weights with Chalean - just moved up to a 10 pound resistance band this week.

Thanks for any help/suggestions/etc you all can give, I SO appreciate it!! :)

I am thinking you are not eating enough. the reason I say that is because my work out is lightly active and for my calories they reccomend me to eat 1503 calories according to my current weight. right now I am in metabolic reset which is 1768. I would up your calories to the 1798 . I have heard on the tdee your work out calories are factored in . most of the people who log their work out do create your own work out title the work out and put it as -1 calorie.

This is correct. Remember that weight loss is always about estimates so you'll need to experiment to see what works for you. But you may continue to see fluctuations for a few weeks as your body gets used to the new calorie intake. If you're worried, you can bump it up by 100 calories a week until you get to the TDEE - 20%. That should give your body time to adjust.

    Thank you!

Maybe I'll try 1600 calories for a week here and see how that goes and then go a little higher until I reach the 1798 calories a day.....
