Crazy Doctor Stories

So, many of us have experienced first hand how doctors don't really get a good education on proper nutrition and exercise. I'm interested in stories of crazy things your doctor has told you to do in regards to diet/exercise.
I went into my doctor with GP with elbow tendonitis that was being made worse by working out. With zero x-rays, MRI, and barely even touching me, she told me that I needed to do zero upper body exercising for 6 months. She basically had the attitude of "why would you keep exercising if it hurts". I thought she was nuts and probably should have realized given she was at least 100 lbs overweight herself. I sent to a myo-facial release chiropractor and tendonitis was gone after 4 sessions with him. Needless to say I'm looking for a new GP.
I'm sure there are crazier stories out there.

When I first contracted lyme disease I went to every "ologist" out there and no one could figure out what was wrong, test results showed my numbers were off but they couldn't figure out why.
On one of my many doctor visits I went to an endocrinologist, she poked around a couple times on me and abruptly says " I can tell by looking at you there is nothing wrong with you, you just need to exercise and go on weight watchers" I responded and sai;
wow.. I just paid you $45 to insult me, I'm confused, nowhere on the door did I see the word psychic, where do you keep your crystal ball? And walked out.0 -
It's always because you need to lose weight if you listen to them. So annoying.
My old GP was a weird one.
I had to spend 3 days at the ER two years ago because of an asthma attack, then went to see her and she ordered xrays because they had found a weird spot on my lungs at the ER... She never called me back with the results, even after I left probably 3 messages. Then at the next check up, she was so obsessed over me getting my blood work done, she didn't even do anything when i told her I had a sore throat. I had to go see another doctor, and they did a strep test as usual, and I had strep.
Yeah I managed to get the only doctor in the US who wasn't able to diagnose strep when I said I had a sore throat. I have a new GP now...0
