HRM and High Heart Rates

I have been considering getting a heart rate monitor to monitor my calories burned. However, my heart rate increases significantly when I stand up due to my low blood pressure. It can be anywhere from 1.5 to 2 times my sitting heart rate. I am curious as to how accurate a hear rate monitor will be in this situation. Will it show a false increased caloric burn simply due to my increased standing heart rate?

How long is it increased when you stand? Do you know if it goes back down to normal?
If your increased HR goes down to normal after standing for a few minutes than I would suggest popping on the HRM, seeing your HR elevated and than waiting until it goes down to start the reading for exercise.0
