Am I using my Hormones as a crutch?

does anyone else have issues losing weight because of hormones being out of whack?? mine are not and never have been normal,but am I just using this as a crutch? I feel as though I do fairly good job day to day of staying active & eating clean. I just want to know if it can be done & if anyone has done it & why Im struggling so much to get this weight off!!
