Do all heart rate monitors show calories burned?

Or do I need to buy one with that feature?

I believe they all do... at least the ones I've seen.

Make sure you research whatever brand/model you are looking at getting. Don't get one without a chest strap as personally I think they are a complete waste of money. A chest strap is needed for the most accurate calorie burn unless you want to keep manually taking your pulse every min. Don't worry, a chest strap is not uncomfortable. I can't even feel mine and it sits right under my sportsbra strap. Also, ensure you get one that lets you input your age, sex, height and weight at least for the most accurate burn reading.

Mine doesn't, but I use my heart rate average from my workouts to find my calorie burn using this website:

I have a Polar FT4, got it because it's straight-forward, inexpensive, and does the trick. The FT7 has more features, though. You can compare all the models here at http://www.polar.com/us-en
