At the end of my pregnancy I was the most I had ever been! but by 3 months post partum I was back down and had lost the 30 pounds I gained, now by 5.5 months postpartum I have lost a total of 53 pounds so an extra 23on top of it. I changed my eating habits, work out 4-5x a week, no more late night snacking, etc. But somehow I feel like I still have so much farther to go when it really doesn't seem that much when I think about it- id like to lose another 40 pounds but sometimes it seems unreachable. I feel like Im always trying to self destruct and down play my accomplishments or something idk. Anyone else in a similar boat?

Congratulations on all you have accomplished!
I would suggest changing your goal if you can. I know you want to lose 40 more pounds, but that's not actually something you do, know what I'm saying? It's something that happens as a result of things you do.
Change your goals to stuff you can actually do. How about setting new records with your workout regimen? How about changing it up a little and trying a new class, something you don't usually do? Set a goal to squat 50% of your body weight. Or do 25 pushups straight. Or complete a Couch To 5k.
There's all kinds of stuff to make you healthier[/] that will result in the weight loss you want0
