polar heart rate monitor ft4 help pleas!!!!

hi i just wore my heart rate monitor for the first time today at les mills body pump class
it goes for 60 mins then when i was finished and checked it only read 265kcal
isnt that a bit bit low for body pump? am i wearing it wrong??

Sometimes my polar will slip or flip a bit and stop monitoring (get a message saying no heart rate detected). Maybe yours slipped and you didn't notice? I do Jillian's extreme shed and shred and burn about 500 from warm up to cool down (80 minutes).
Be sure to have the sound on and you'll know if it stops detecting your heart rate0 -
Not familiar with the class but It sounds low though regardless. Mine slips all the time, because of sweat and the muscles in a V shape where it sits though. Perhaps check it often next class and see...0

Body Pump is a class that is all weight lifting so that sounds right. You will burn more calories throughout the day doing normal activities.0
