Anyone use alternative workouts?

What I mean by that instead of the usual cardio + heavy lifters that's so popular on this site, does anyone just live an active sporty lifestyle? Any surfers, divers or climbers on here?
I like snorkelling, sailing and going to try my hand at sand boarding, but I was just wondering if people use adventure sports or just other forms of workouts then the usual cardio+lifting (and yoga thrown in).
You get amazing results with the mainstream workouts of course MFP is full of amazing transformations, but I haven't seen an unfit surfer or climber before so there should be amazing transformations for that as well right? Or since you can't really do things like that everyday its not really a good way to achieve weight loss, but rather keeping it off?
