Hey guys! How are you ? :) Yesterday I weighed myself and I had 300 grams more.. I said.. ok.. wow.. I will reduce some food and exercise more.. was that water weight caused from sodium ? Next day IT WAS THE SAME! 300 grams more.. so 600 more grams in 2 days without overeating.. like 1,200,1300 calories eated in that days.. I also saw that I had more than 2,000 mg of sodium yesterday.. and I also drink alot alot alot of water.. can you gain 600 grams in 2 days ?! That's even more than 1 pound.. and I haven;t eated more than 2,500 calories in these 2 days.. HELPHELPHELPHELPHELP :(

    Stop weighing yourself so often.

Weight changes for a lot of reasons. You can't gain fat if you are not consuming more than your TDEE.

Hormones change weight readings... sodium intake changes weight readings... muscle retaining water changes your weight.. etc etc.

If you're male and eating 1200 calories a day then you're likely undereating. 1200 calories is the bare minimum for women looking to lose weight. Men really shouldn't eat less than 1800 calories a day. You might want to plug your numbers into a TDEE calculator (http://scoobysworkshop.com/calorie-calculator/) and eat at a more moderate deficit.
  • I would really advise only weighing yourself once a week. I used to drive myself CRAZY weighing myself every single day. Weight fluctuates throughout a day and different things will cause you to weigh more or less from day to day throughout the course of a week.

I agree I use to drive myself nuts weighing every day. That being said I do find that if I eat anything with alot of sodium in it less than 3 hours before bed the next morning I will wake up at least a pound heavier but if I watch myself that day then the following day I am back down to normal.

Also if you are a woman then certain times of the month can add several pounds very quickly sometimes.

Yes you can, and only you can provide the help you need. Don't eat so much salt! If you are only eating 1200 calories/day, You should keep yor sodium intake <1200 mg/day, but not too low. I have, on average, done that for the last 10 weeks losing 30 lbs. But after Easter weekend I was 9 lbs heavier Monday morning. Water weighs about a lb/pint, it's heavy stuff. Here is an article you may find helpful.
