Can I use my Heart Rate Monitor for Anaerobic Exercise?

I've been using my HRM for running and elliptical exercises. However, yesterday I played ultimate frisbee for 50 minutes and my HRM said I burned 430 calories. Somehow, I doubt this to be true. There were periods of time in which I was not moving around, mixed with periods of time when I was sprinting. Will this calculation be accurate? It did feel like a workout, but it definitely didn't feel as intense as if I had burned 430 calories from running.

I don't see why you can't, I use mine for running, exercise bike, workout DVD's, and i'm still losing weight. Interestingly my calories for running got me more from my HRM, but when using my execise bike i got less, than the MFP rate.0
