How do I balance

Ok, this is my dilemma....I work out 5 days a week and burn about 800 calories. I usually burn about 580 calories after 45 minutes on the elliptical and 230 calories walking at a 3.0 pace on the treadmill. Since I am trying to loase weight I'm want to clarify if I need to eat the calories I burned plus my daily calories to stay on track. Just seems pointless to burn the calories them eat them again. Any pointers?
