I need help to maintain :(

Hey guys! :) I am 16 years old M. 5"10 and I weigh 154 lbs :)
If I workout cardio 5 times a week. 20-30 minutes per session. I run on my treadmill 15 minutes a day and the rest what I do the rest of the day. I eat 1200-1500 calories a day.. Will I gain weight ? Can I maintain ? Currently I gained 2 pounds in 2 days because of water retention and sodium, 6000-7000 mg in the past 2 days. :D

I hope that is a typo, and you are 18 years old as your profile claims and not actually 16 and underage for this site. And the reason for that limit is not because this some 18+ exclusive club, but because if you are 16, then you body is still undergoing development, and some of the things that applicable and healthy for adults in terms of weight loss can be harmful to a teenager's development.

That being said. A 2-pound fluctuation over 2 days is not really worth even thinking about. Too short of a time period and too little of a fluctuation. I can easily have a 3 to 4 pounds of fluctuation over the course of day. Think about not weighing yourself every day, and do longer periods between weigh-ins, maybe weekly. That high sodium intake (3000 - 3500 per day) definitely can play into that as water retention.

Finally, a 5'10" 154lb male that has five 20 - 30 minute workout sessions per week is not going to maintain or gain weight at 1200-1500 calories a day unless there is a slowdown of metabolism or other health issue, which is a risk considering those numbers especially at your age.

You should be eating a ton more. You should cut back on the sodium. You should be obsessing over your weight fluctuations in the short term.
