Help me cut the sugar!

I'm already eating fairly low amounts of added sugars, but I want to cut them even more. The ones I'm working on now are the 'hidden' sugars. I know that sugar can be part of a healthy diet for some people, but I'm type II diabetic, and trying to cut it out, and then add back slowly to deal with my sugar cravings. So, any ideas for substitutions would be much appreciated. The things that are the hardest are sauces, i.e. mayo, bbq sauce, etc and snack foods like granola bars, etc. I do some baking, including making my own bread, so recipes would be great. Also where are some of the hidden sugars I might not think to look for.
