No idea how many calories I should be eating

Options
Okay so, I don't really understand the whole BMR and TDEE thing. I understand what they mean but different websites seem to be conflicting. I tried these two sites : http://scoobysworkshop.com/calorie-calculator/ and http://www.fat2fitradio.com/tools/bmr/ and they tell me how many calories I should be eating to lose slowly, around 1400-1500 or so. I am also exclusively breastfeeding a 4 month old with no supplementing and no solid foods yet. So does that mean I should be eating between 1900-2000 calories a day because breastfeeding is burning 500 calories a day. That seems really high to me but I don't want to not be eating enough calories because the days I realize I don't eat enough my milk supply suffers so I can't do that but I also want to lose weight slowly and in a healthy way too. Anyone know what I should be doing because myfitnesspal is telling me to eat only 1200 a day plus 500 for breastfeeding which is 1700 but I always feel super hungry when I do that.... any advice would be helpful.

MFP actually tells you to eat 1200 plus 500 for BF - PLUS your exercise calories. So 1700 + a couple hundred in exercise calories and you're right up at the 1900 - 2000 that you figured with the other sites.
