Hi everyone!
My name is Carey. I'm 26 and not over weight but very close to being there. I have tried dieting for years and always dizzy/light headed - was even fairly in shape at one point but always felt like crap. For the longest time I believed I'd never lose weight if I couldn't manage 1500-1700 calories without feeling ill. Saw my doctor yesterday and my post prandial glucose was fairly low. She said I have the potential (and genes) for diabetes and my dizzy spells/sweating/headaches are most likely related to what I'm eating instead of how much I'm eating. I'm so sensitive that even with eating lots of good grains, fruits and veggies I still plummet if I slip up and eat a high sugar protein bar. SO with that being said, I'm learning how important strategy and planning is to weight loss. Not just people who struggle with blood sugar dips, etc, but for anyone. And I'm very aware of how important support is. I'm just telling my story and reaching out to hopefully find some friends here that I can cheer on and lament with
Whether you need to lose 15 pounds or 150, I think it's agreeable that its a huge adjustment and struggle for anyone! Add me! Lets be there for each other
