doesnt matter as long as your macros are hit, and your calories are at a deficit.

Stop eating before you fall a sleep or it could be a choking hazard.

I eat right until bed time.. Well I mean if I have not given my body enough food I'll have nuts, trail mix, apple & peanut butter, protein bar at night. I don't get heartburn, disrupted sleep or a sore tummy from eating late.

Hi, I used to think eating after 8pm was a bad move. But have been doing MFP since January 2013 and been on 1200 cals a day since then, I am often snacking up to 11pm at night but always on healthy options like fruit, celery/carrot sticks with salsa, low fat rice crackers etc - I have had steady weight loss every week since starting, so for me it has surprisingly not made much difference and nearly 30lbs gone since then. I often like a snack around 10pm so save calories for that, so in my case it's not so much been not eating at night it's been WHAT I am eating at night that has changed. But I am sure everyone is different. I spread my calories as evenly as I can through the day allowing 300 for breakfast, 300 for lunch, 300 for dinner and 300 for snacks, earlier in the day would have 150 of those 300 cals for snacks so never eating more than 150 cals at night (after dinner snack) I also hardly ever exercise as I have a severe lower back injury, lucky if I do 20 mins walking a week up to 3 times, and still the weight loss is steady.

    As a rule...I don't like to eat after 7 pm...only cause I can't sleep with a fully belly....but it makes no difference

I personally try not eat past 6pm just for my own personal preference. However, if you are under calories and its night time, eat.

Ok thanks everyone, It must be a myth. I heard that its bad to eat right before bed it can cause weight gain because not enough time to digest the food.

It doesn't matter. If you're hungry, even if it's 3am, for the love of god, eat something.
