I took my weight and my waist and stuck it into the online calculator and got roughly 17% bidy fat but when I see pictures of other people at about this amount they look more slimmer and not as chubby as I do? Am I maybe doing it wrong? My waist is 34 in. And I weight 187.

Okay, online calculators can be very inaccurate. I came across one the other day that asked for: weight, age, gender, waist, thigh, and hip measurements. It told me 15%BF :noway: .....I'm actually around 40% BF...:huh:0 -
$4 only on amazon? Can't be that! Thanks for the info!0

Everyone is different.. go pick up calipers at the store, if you can't, I find the US Navy formula to be OK in lieu of calipers.
Google different body fat percentage pictures. You'll see what I'm trying to get at0
