HCG DIET

Options
I've been reading blogs & watching YouTube videos about the hcg diet. Has anyone tried it? Does it really work? Is it safe? Or is it another fad?

The only time I'd heard hCG was in repro and I figured that couldn't be what they were talking about but I googled and yep, this diet has people taking human chorioinic gonadotropin. I lol'd.

I've done it. I lost about 20 pounds doing it, but I ended up putting that all back on plus some. You're starving yourself and not learning appropriate eating habits. Don't do it.

The HCG diet is dangerous and illegal. As per the Mayo clinic site.

I suggest you read this: http://www.fda.gov/ForConsumers/ConsumerUpdates/ucm281333.htm

The title is HCG Diet Products are Illegal.

And without the HCG gimmick, it's just a VLCD (very low calorie diet).

    No!!!!!!!!!!!!

You lose weight because you eat only 500 cals a day which is dangerous.
