Fluctuating calories can induce fat loss?

So. I've been kind of stuck in the 190s since January. I don't care about the scale number as much as I do my appearance (meaning, clothing size). I was told that alternating your calorie intake, it can boost weight loss. For example, my daily intake (calculated by MFP) is 1380. If I were to up them on my lifting days to 1800, cardio days to 1600, and rest days to 1380, would that make a difference?

Some folks are big proponents of caloric cycling (see http://angrytrainerfitness.com/2011/05/ask-alfonso-should-i-cycle-my-calorie-intake/ and http://www.livestrong.com/article/280983-fluctuating-calorie-diets/). It's my understanding, though, that the calorie fluctuations aren't extreme. And honestly, most people -- through normal day-to-day food intake -- vary their calories by 100-300 daily anyway.
I may get flamed for this (heeeeeeyoh), but I'd say that if you've plateaued for THAT long, you need to change something, and that something is probably caloric intake. Do you weigh your food and are you certain you're actually eating 1380? I'd hazard a guess that you're eating more than you think you are.0
