i had a long talk with my sister in law this morning and i realized one thing that holds us all back from time to time ... excuses. they may be good ones but it doesn't change the fact that they are just that excuses. i have had a million . i can't afford to get WW or jenny craig, i can't afford to buy the fresh fruit and veggies needed to eat better . my RA {rhuemitiod arthritis} keeps me from doing any real exercising, i need help, i need ... fill in the blank we have all done it we have all used them but what i realized this morning , we need to push threw them find a way around them to find our fit self. If we really want this we WILL find a way of doing it ! :)

so what are your excuses? how can you or did you get past them? maybe hearing everyone's excuses will help each of us get past them.

My biggest excuses were I can't or i will do it tomorrow......i just got up and did it. Fell off a couple times but now happy to say still going! I made the decision that only I could change the way I felt. I got motivation from Jillian Michael's quote "Why choose failure when success is an option"
This gave me no more excuses.

I can tell you that the only thing standing between you and your goals is the bull**** excuses you tell yourself as to why you can't achieve them.

Too sore - Exercise creates an endorphin effect. Also called an analgesic effect. It actually makes you less sore.
Too tired - Nothing wakes you up quite like getting your blood pumping.
Not enough time - Throw away your TV, then talk to me about not enough time.
I don't know what to do - Go for a walk. Anybody can do it.
I'm not motivated - No, what you aren't is dedicated. Nobody wants to go to work, yet somehow they do day after day. Is there motivation or dedication? Change your mindset from 'I need to workout' to 'I will go for a walk.'
The people at the gym will laugh at me - Get over your ego. You aren't the center of everybody's attention when you walk in the door. Also, why are you letting the thoughts of complete strangers dictate your health?
