Looking for some tri advice

Tri friends! or any friends! I've signed up for a sprint tri that is 10 weeks away. I was thinking of throwing some weights into my training routine one or two days a week (the days I swim, because that's when I'll be at a gym that has weights). Just some basic lower body stuff like squats, lunges, and some weighted ab stuff. I really want to go fast at this race and I know weights have helped my run time in the past! Do you think adding in weights will help with only 10 weeks until the race? I'd love to hear past experiences with similar situations and general thoughts/input! Thanks! Happy training :drinker:
