Finally!

It's been over a year since I finished grad school and I finally found a good job. It's not temporary. It's not generic office work. It's not a sacrifice in pay or benefits. It's not a scam. it's not an internship.

I can finally get a paycheck, a desk in my own office and room to grow. I can pay my bills and contribute to society. I can begin to thank my boyfriend for supporting me through grad school.

I'm new here so this rambling might seem strange but I'm sure there are others out there in the same boat and I thought I'd post this by way of encouragement. Job hunting sucks and it can tear you down so fast to get one rejection letter after another but if I can succeed after over a year of looking than so can you!

And yea the last two days have been not great food wise but I don't really care. :)

CONGRATULATIONS!! Being that I am in grad school right now, this makes my crazy long 60-80 hour weeks seem worth it (almost). At least it gives me hope!

Thank you all for the good thoughts. And YES I'm sure that less stress and not sitting around the house all day will definitely help the weight loss!

There were so many times in those 2 years of grad school (MBA) and the year since that I questioned whether it was worth it. I can only say that for me, the thought of finally achieving my goal of a *career* and not just a job is truly what makes it all worth it. Stick with it!! :)
