Were yoga pants invented in the 80's? I better quit, they already locked my other thread.

Yes! Lycra was invented in the eighties, and this lead to yoga pants.
I remember in 1985 visiting family in the UK a nd returning back to Canada in jeans that looked like they were painted on, but you didn't have to lie down to put them on!

I also wore rights and bodysuits to dance class that looked something like this:

Remember the "original video games".... The little things filled with water and the buttons to get the rings on the pegs.. or the basketball one.

ooooh i remember seeing them at an American friend's house...

I had this bike. It was the best bike ever. Check this *kitten* out...
    - banana seat for "towing" friends? check!
    - scooped handlebars for additional passenger? check!
    - dropped middle bar for optimum trick performance? check!
    - peddle brakes instead of handle brakes for maximum skidding for dramatic effect? hellz yes!

The Huffy Desert Rose! That was my bike, too.

I still have a working Atari 2600 (original with faux wood grain finish) and 20-30 games. However, The Commodore 64 was my favorite X-Mas present EVUH!!! Still have it and the peripherals I saved for years to buy (5.25" disk drive, Okimate 10 color printer, etc.). Plus, it used the same joystick connector as the 2600! WIN-WIN

Anyone enjoying this thread that needs a good read, check out "Ready Player One" on Kindle.

It's set in the future but it's about the 80's. Joust!

that was an awsome book! me and hubby both read it and loved it and my 16 y/o daughter even liked it and we googled some of the stuff they talked about in the book so she knew what it was and it lead to some great 'when i was younger' stories from her dad and i.

    great book!

I have to show this to my husband!!!!

Something reminded me of it the other day, so I described it and asked if he ever had one. He looked at me like I was a crazy person speaking another language.

I remember plastic shoes, plastic neon shoelaces, and plastic glasses with no lenses, just plastic lines running across where lenses might otherwise be.
