HRM Suggestions Needed

I'd like to buy a decent quality starter HRM to help me get better in tune with my body and workouts but there is SO much information out there between the MFP forums, reviews on sites like Amazon/REI, etc. that I have no clue which HRM's are actually good (lasting) quality and which ones are duds.
I'd like to spend $75 or less but would consider up to $125 if there was a huge jump in quality/reliability.
Can anyone suggest an HRM (wrist variety) that they have had for a few months or more with consistently good results and quality? Or am I shooting for the stars here?
On a side note, I am not interested in information about the FitBit. I've tried one before and it wasn't right for me. Thanks!

I bought a POLAR FT4 or F4, one of those, but anyways, it was $64.95 with free shipping and no tax, and I love it! No fancy bells and whistles but does exactly what I need it for!0

I suggest you get one with a chest strap, since it will be the most accurate.
I have a Pyle Sports HRM Watch PHRM38 (with chest strap). I chose this one, because I am on a budget and I didn't need something extremely fancy. I got mine for $26 with free shipping (amazon.com). It seems to be fairly accurate for me. It actually gives me a lower calorie count then online calculators that use avg HR.
Features:
- Time/Date
- Present HR
- Max HR
- Avg HR
- Target Zone Setting
- 1/100 sec stopwatch
- Calories Burnt
- Daily Alarm
- User Setting (age, weight, vo2 max)
- Led backlight
- Energy Saving Function
- Display Off
- Water Resistant 33 feet/10 meters/1 ATM
- ability to change battery in chest strap and watch
The only problem I have with it is that the watch is a little bulky, but for the price I paid... I can live with it.
Polar brand comes highly recommended by users on MFP.0
