As long as I stay over BMR it's good, correct?

Hi everyone,
I figured out my TDEE - 20% and I'm slowly getting up there. Since it's so much more than the 1200 calories I have been eating I'm doing it gradually. I always make sure I net over my BMR though. I won't go into starvation mode as long as I net over my BMR, correct?

Starvation mode happens to people who are starving...that means no food for a prolonged period of time. So, no, it is not starvation mode.
I think we use that term to mean things other than actual starvation mode - loss of lean body mass, messed up hormones, slowing of the metabolism due to under eating...
You are correct in trying to increase to get to your TDEE-20% and doing it slowly is not a problem at all as long as you continue to increase them til you get there. It is prolonged under eating that harms us - so as long as you are making the move to higher calories and eventually get there, you will be fine, in my non-expert opinion.
When I changed from 1200 calories to TDEE-20% I made the jump all at once and it worked out just fine...0
