METFORMIN/PCOS (not diabetic)/WEIGHT LOSS

Hello!
I've been diagnosed with PCOS for few months now but have been having symptoms for 3 years. I'm not diabetic and my ObGyn has put me on metformin. Today is day #2 on this medication and I haven't experienced any side effects (THANK GOD)...Has anyone lost weight using metformin?? What has been your experience on this medication??
