Best way to enter calories using Fitbit plus Polar HRM

Hi wondering what is the best way to enter my exercise calories using my HRM? I am not sure if I should take my fitbit off, press te button down to count exercise as an activity, just wear it and later enter my calories manually in MFP? I'm a bit confused as you can see. Anyone that can help, thanks in advance.

Just log your exercise in MFP using the correct start time and the calories burned from the HRM. It will overwrite whatever calorie burn the fitbit had for that time period.0

I'm going to try logging my exercise on FitBit.com instead of MFP and see if that works better.0
