Subtract from the TDEE. BMR is the minimum your body needs to survive, while TDEE is what you would eat to maintain your current weight. Reducing your TDEE by 500 calories per day will save a pound per week. TDEE should include your activity level so don't eat back your exercise calories.
Losing not more than 1 pound per week is really best. You'll be better able to sustain your efforts and lead a perfectly normal life while doing it. Slowly losing also helps to prevent the dreaded "loose skin". Yes, it will take a long time to lose the weight but just think how good you'll look next summer!
