did I calculate correctly?

Hi,

So I'm a 5'5 femaie at 140 lbs and would like to lose another 10 to get to goal. I've plateaud for a couple of months and after reading about BMR and TDEE, I think I've sorted it all out, just want to double check that my numbers make sense.

My BMR is 1433 and my TDEE at light to no activity (work a desk job) is 1720. So, to lose weight at TDEE - 20% is 1376.

So, 1376 is how many calories I eat on days where I do no extra activity.

Other days, I'm lightly active, so my TDEE on those days would be 1970. Again, to lose weight at TDEE - 20% it is 1576.

Does it matter how long I'm active for, say if I work out 20 minutes vs. 40 mins, would I maybe calculate a 40 min workout as moderately active?

Also, could I just do 1376 every day and then work out my exercise calories for that day and just eat them back? or would that be the same as just figuring out the lightly active calories anyways?
