Where does everyone shop?

I'm not big into clothes shopping, but with where I live, (maine) there really aren't any places to do much shopping should the mood arise. A lot of it is also the generic, every day brand names. Not interested. Anyone out there have some different places they like to get clothes that have websites? I'm not really into high fashion stuff, I love wearing jeans, tank tops, etc. Just looking for something a little different. I'm a size 10, if that helps.

I love shopping at Kohl's for clothes. They have a huge variety of styles and sizes. They also have pretty good prices.0

i love Kohl's...but they really need to just drop their prices and quit it with the coupons and "you saved $130 today!!"...no i didn't you just overprice stuff, have a sale every day and make everyone feel all warm and fuzzy thinking they're saving a bunch of dough.0

I hate all the coupon things too. I hate when they say "You saved $100 today" I think no I didn't because if the prices would have cost me $100 more i wouldn't have bought it, I gave you money I didn't save any money LOL  . I hate store gimmicks. There prices could come down alittle but compared to Macy's and J C Penneys (which are other stores i shop at). the prices aren't to bad.0 -

oh toadally...prices overall are a lil lower than stores like Macy's and stuff but yeah...the whole "sale!!!" thing is kinda gimmicky.0 -
I have been getting my stuff from a consignment shop in town. I refuse to pay full price for clothes until I am done losing weight. I think I will hit some Back-to-school sales in Aug.0

On line, whenever possible. Not a shopper. One of the basic differences between men and women.
I have a wife, three daughters, two grandaughters. I go on vacation ofteen with two of my SIL's. There will always be a shopping day on the vacation calendar. I don't get it.
Typically, in my life, the women are off to shop often, They're Master Shoppers, armed with BOGO coupons, clipped coupons from the paper and internet, insider info about a "special sale for VIP patrons", etc. They go out with a batlle plan, a route and a purse filled with coupons. They are out all day and, when they return, they feel the need to justify and model every item they have procured.
"Oh, look at this one. Already had one in chartreuse and saw this one in salmon."
"Had a two for one, added it to my 30% off for shoppoing this weekend. IT WAS PRACTICALLY FREE!"
"Not sure about this one. What do you think? I got it with my BOGO."
Of course when they ring up everything, the receipt comes with a coupon that is ONLY valid for the next 5 days.
When it's all said and done, they have two things they are going to keep. One they will wear, and two that will go back next week to take advantage of the new coupon.
Not me. If I want a black shirt, I google it. Find it on line and order it. Comes in the mail 5 to 10 days later. I wear it. If I don't like it, I don't send it back. I go on line and order a different one. The one I don't like goes in the rag bucket and will keep my Motorcycle clean.0 -
I shop (almost) exclusively at J. Crew. I have a few factory stores near me and take full advantage of it.
I sometimes shop online (ModCloth) or at Anne Taylor or The Limited....
But 9 times out of 10, I'd say that I go to J. Crew.
Their stuff fits well and is high quality so it doesn't get out of shape/warped or fall apart as I wash and wear it.0 -

Jan? Is that you?0 -
I sometimes shop at Kohl's but their clothing always shrinks and warps (for a lack of a better word) on me, I really only buy pants there because I know they have the brand that actually fits me properly. But for other things I go to Stein Mart or JC Penney's... Sometimes Macy's.
I can't wait until I'm at a comfortable size though that I can justify buying clothing from ModCloth or other more expensive stores (than what I usually patron).0 -

Same here. Just have to watch the quality in some cases. I've had some amazing purchases, and then some clothes that wrinkle, shrink, or just lose their fit after one wash.
I LOVE Macy's, but I'm too much of a tight *kitten* to pay retail there so I only shop clearance and seasonal specials.0
