How to determine calories burned.....

Might sound crazy but I am waiting until September to start "working out".... reason being is I have a very very active job ( I am a housekeeper for a vacation rental company and do many houses a day, plus a few private clients. It's a lot of running, squtting carrying a vacuume and steps for hours. After work I realy feel like I have spent the day at the gym! So when the season slows down, my youngest starts kindergarten, that's when I plan on working out. However, according to MFP, when I look up how many calories are burned with vigorous housekeeping and the amount of time I spend working the amount of burned calories seem VERY high. if I were going to eat them back I would pretty much need a big mac IV line. It just doesn't seem right, so I don't know how to calculate it. I don't even meet my allotted calorie allowance most days because I am afraid of eating too much and don't know how many calories I have earned back while working..... or should I even count work as excercise?

I would change your activity setting to active or very active - then it will calculate in all that activity for you.
