"portable" breakfast ideas?

I usually run out the door in the morning (well, cycle) and just bring my breakfast to work with me. I usually have oats with raisins, apple, almonds, or some sort of fruit and a touch of brown sugar as I really only need hot water and a fork to eat them. BUT I am getting bored. Anyone have any ideas for portable breakfasts? What is TRICKY is that I am not currently eating wheat (my BF needs to go G-free and I am trying it out to encourage him) and that I do not want to eat packaged foods. However any ideas will do. I have a microwave and hot water available to me at work.

I'm a huge fan of hard-boiled eggs. I usually cook up six at a time, store them in the fridge, and grab them as needed. When I dont have time to eat breakfast at home, I will grab an egg or two and a couple turkey sausage to cook in the microwave at work. I also have a toaster at work, so sometimes I bring an english muffin and sugar free jam. I also keep a couple meal replacement shakes on hand for mornings when I'm not feeling hungry, but know that I need some fuel.

    Good luck to you!

I do those instant oatmeal things with a banana or an apple. Holds me over till lunch.

maybe you can make yourself a yogurt parfait or something the night before and just grab it and go in the AM??

I have done that a few times, I wait till the the morning to but the granola in it though.

when I worked in the office I would scramble 2 whites and one whole egg for the morning.

Add a tsp of salsa or cheddar cheese to mix things up !

Just zap in the micro for 15-30 seconds (I used to do 15-20 and stir) and you have hot yummy breakfast.

My friend cooks some crispy bacon and crumples on top.

I love the incredible edible egg. Maybe I should stop watching so much TV:laugh:
