Difference Between Men's and Women's HRM?

This may be a stupid question, but, is there any difference between women's and men's hear rate monitors? I've been looking into them and, it may just be me being picky, but most of the women's ones come in purple and pink (two of my least favorite colors) or look a little too feminine for my taste. Will the measurement be off if I used one that's labeled as a men's HRM?
(To be more specific, I have mostly narrowed it down to the Polar FT series due to good reviews).

Good question. Besides strap size and ugly pink color I can't think of any.0

Color and size of the strap on the Polar models. You input all your data just the same on either men's or women's.0

Thanks! I will go with a Men's model then and just try to adjust the strap to fit me.0
