so, i've lost 35 pounds so far (i lost 10 before i joined mfp), and i was on a roll....then, i bruised my tailbone at roller derby practice, and getting up and down and exercise have been painful. my pain pills just make me loopy and get sick, and i have two small children and cannot be messed up.
anyway, the past couple of days, ive really let things go....i had a hoagie and a big plate of kfc (my mom brought it over for dinner with the kids, and i just went for it)
now i really really need some encouragement. i dont want to fall off the bandwagon. im determined to lose this weight, and i know a couple of days isnt a huge setback, but its still frustrating.
any motivating/supporting words would be greatly appreciated....thank you so much!

Hi Megan! It is awesome that you are on a roller derby team! I have a friend who joined one a few years ago and she loves it. She has had setbacks with her knees and has had to undergo surgery but has rehabed and is back into the swing of things. I know it isn't fun when you get side-lined with a serious injury. I don't have much advice concerning how to exercise while recovering, usually they say to fully recover before returning to regular activity. You will know when you are ready to workout again, just start off slow.
Good on you for realizing that you aren't eating at your best, it is hard to do so when you are on a schedule with pain medication. If you are up to it, maybe try to set up healthy snacks or ask you mom to help you get multiple days worth pre-packaged snacks and meals so you can easily pull something out of the fridge or cupboard that will help you stay on track with your goals.
Hope this is helpful, I have found looking through MFP or fitness related boards on Pinterest while sick helps me stay grounded. You will feel better in no time and be back to kicking tail with your team! Feel free to add me if you want, I post everyday and send encouragement to my friend when ever possible! Good luck!0 -
I hear you. I had a few bad days, was determined not to let it linger, then that turned into a week, then 10 days. Boom! But, I did not let it go on any longer. Have been back since Tuesday with only a minor blip. Good luck - you can do it. Plan what you're going to eat today and try something new (if what you were doing was boring you).0
