ill join you on your journey!!!!!!!
  • lol this went completely over the op's head...and continued to do so in the next post..and also...some moNths have 31 days...or 29 :) but it would've been wise to just say 3 1/2 months....

now to the original poster....it is completely doable if your body really needs to lose those 20lbs. try starting simple by upping water intake every day to flush any excess water weight. find a type of exercise or activity that you enjoy and start doing it more often, make a routine of it. cut down on your sodium and carbs a little and try taking walks or jogs each morning or evening to get prepped for your day/evening.

I think it is totally doable. I have lost 19lbs in the last two and a half months. I have been lifting weights five or six times a week. I have not done any cardio. Eating around 1600 calories a day. It dropped my body fat percentage 10 points. Of course something works differently for everyone, but I think you can do it.

I lost 22 lbs in 3 1/2 months. I eat about 1300-1400 cal a day, and work out 6 days a week. 4 days weights, and 6 days cardio. It can totally be done! Good luck!

You can do it! I started Jan 21st (so that's 3 months-3 Weeks) and I've lost 31 lbs. I'm eating about 1300 calories and exercising 6 days a week (Jillian Michaels "Ripped in 30" 5-6 days and a 15 mile bike ride every Fri) watch what you eat-get moving and stay focused! You can do it! Good luck! :flowerforyou: And good luck in college!

I was gonna say.....3 moths are not going to last you two weeks. That is undereating to the extreme. You're gonna need a lot more moths.

You're already in a pretty healthy weight range. Set MFP to lose 1 lb per week and eat back most of your exercise calories. And be careful about putting a time table on your weight loss like that. It seems like setting yourself up for disappointment if you only lose, say 10 lbs, even though that would be a great accomplishment.
  • Hello, I lost 20 lbs in 5 months but I know I could have pushed it and lost faster. But I am 45 yrs old so it took a little longer because of age I think. Just try to wean yourself OFF Sugar and Bread!! I ate NO bread, pasta, potatoes after lunch. I still don't. For dinner I eat steamed veggies and grilled fish or grilled chicken. I love it!! I love the way my clothes fit me. I still wanna loose 6 lbs but slowly does it. I am looking for a long term loss and taking a little longer is OK. Just start and have 6 days a week of a strict diet and 7th day is your cheat day. As time goes by you will not want to be too bad on your cheat day, cause the hard work you put in will become a habit. You need to change the way you live your life and just GET HEALTHY. You can do it! - If I could do it.... anyone can!! Honestly!! Good Luck, We are all here to support you!

You can do it. It has taken me a year to actually start loosing, but I am way past college age. Now that I've started loosing (7 pounds) hopefully I can keep going. I'm going to try really hard for the next 30 days (May 16-June 16) and see if I can loose 10 pounds. If not 10 them something. Good luck to you!
