Any healthy... "bachelor-esque" cookbooks out there?
Hi all,
I wanted to tap the great amount of crowd knowledge on MFP and see if anyone knows of any low prep-time cook books? I work around 50-60 hours a week in a programming job and have started going back to classes as well, not to mention typically have to go out of town at least once a week on my off days. Add on to it being single and having laundry, yard work, etc to take care of, and sometimes I get pretty time crunched.
A lot of my worst eating habits come from not having (or making, I'll admit) the time to set aside the time that most healthy eating seems to require. Every time I find a cook book for healthy recipes, it tends to be for meals that require a decent amount of dedicated prep / cook time. Anyone aware of any handy guides for eating healthy without a ton of time to spare?
Thanks so much,
-JS

"The Working Stiff Cookbook" might fit your bill. I was given this as a gift a couple years ago when I was working 70-80 hour work weeks and complaining that I never got to cook anymore. The recipes are fast to make and most have a pretty simple list of ingredients.

Rachel Ray books......Her food is killer, she's smokin' hot and what other reasons do you need. LOL
Just cut the quantities in 1/2 and you are good to go.
Also may as well subscribe to mens health. Always good stuff in there, and the rest of the mag is good too0 -
There's a book titled "Four Ingredient Cook Book" that is 'designed' for diabetics, I've looked at the recipes and they are quick, healthy and well, only 4 things needed (per meal). :~)0
