Feeling frustrated.

Feeling VERY frustrated with this weight loss thing. I lost 8 pounds in the first 3 weeks and since then...NOTHING. I'm eating probably half of the calories I used to and exercising more (I know that builds water which is heavier and retains fluid), so what now. I don't get it...I know there's a lot of support for eating more calories, but I had tried that in the past as well, with no success. I'm sticking with it and continue to log my calories and I'm exercising, but really don't understand what it will take for me to lose weight.

It's normal to be frustrated. I'm going on the second week with no weight loss, even though I'm eating well and working out. The important thing is to keep going and not give into the frustration.

We're in this for the long haul, and it does take patience.

Make sure you are eating enough.

Also, try measuring yourself as an alternative to weighing.

That's a good idea about measuring...I haven't done that yet.

Weight loss isn't linear. There will be times you won't lose. The scale is the most unreliable thing because it can fluctuate up to 10lbs from food intake, water retention, etc. as mentioned- rely on measurements.
