Help! Low Carb Recipes

Hi

I'm kind of new at dieting so I began with a 1,600 cal. diet (Even tho with excercise I end my day with 300-500 cal. left). I started to read about dieting everywhere and I found that if I wanted to lose belly fat I needed to cut my carbs. I'm not sure about how many carbs per day I should eat since the information is very general. It says that it should be between 20-75g (at max) but I'm not sure if that refers to (per meal or per day).

I'm getting tired of eating the same things over and over again so I search for some low carb recipes but the ones I found are very time consuming and expensive. So I was wondering if you guys can share with me some low carb recipes, or at least some information about carbs so it can get me started in the right track.

Thanks in advance,

Stacy

Fat won't let you pick where it comes off, mores the pity. Cutting carbs isn't strictly necessary either. Just eat at a reasonable caloric deficit. If you do want to reduce carbs anyway, you can usually make most of your regular meals lower carb by cutting back on the amounts of rice, pasta, bread, etc that you have per meal.

You probably would have better luck in the Recipes/Food message board... but here's one of my faves:

    Turkey Bacon-wrapped Asparagus

Take 2-3 asparagus spears, clean and trim like normal
Wrap with 1 piece of turkey bacon

Cook as many as you would like in the oven at 425 for 12-15 minutes or until the bacon looks cooked.

High in protein, low in carbs, great source of fiber.
