Officially my 500th post! My journey so far..

OK, maybe not a huge milestone compared to what many others are at... but still!
While I'm only at 500, and I still haven't lost all the weight that I first ventured out to lose when joining about a year and a half ago... the knowledge I've gained and the mental/emotional battles I've overcome far outweigh (no pun intended) the amount of lbs I still have to lose and will lose within the next few months!!!!
I'm finally at a comfortable point where I'm losing slowly, steadily. I'm happy with that... I'm in no rush. I'll get there eventually... and if there is one thing I've learned it's that there are NO shortcuts to getting the true results you need and/or want... both physically and mentally.
Would I like to lose my final pounds and get in tip top shape within the next 2 months (in time for my anniversary)?.. Yes! But in no way will I go to the levels of extreme dieting or calorie restricting, making myself miserable, just to do so.. only to fail and then regain the weight I've lost and then some. I think its wonderful to have goals to work toward, however don't feel like a complete failure when you fall short. Just keep going.
That said- if anyone is looking for a friend or motivation/support.. feel free to PM or add me. I know I haven't reached my final weight loss goal just yet but again... I''ve been through some tough battles my whole life weight related, so even if you just need to vent I'm here. :flowerforyou:
